Just a quick thank you to all who donated to Dad's trust fund in celebration of my 40th birthday. We have raised in excess of £400, which is a great way to celebrate being old!. Rest assure the money will go to good use and will hopefully help other sufferers of this horrible illness. Jez

OUR NEPHEW BRYAN
Memories of our nephew Bryan are of many happy occasions. Always the quiet one of seven brothers and sisters, Bryan's willingness to help others with his mechanical knowledge and his love of the outdoors shone through from an early age.
When, at the age of ten, we took Bryan on his very first holiday, which was to Ireland, we visited the Dublin Zoo. The highlight of this visit was to see the look of sheer delight on Bryan's face when he had a ride on an elephant. Although sufffering from asthma and needing to be careful when in contact with animals, that short ride on the back of the huge animal was a thrilling experience which Bryan never forgot.
On another occasion, we took Bryan and three of his brothers and sisters to Dudley Zo. After walking round the zoo for a short time, we realised that one of his younger brothers was missing. We soon found him watching the monkeys at the monkey house, fascinated by their antics.
As Bryan grew in experience, so did his mechanical knowledge. He was responsible for keeping our car and those of his friends safely on the road. Perhaps he inherited this love of cars from his father, Arthur, whilst his warm and generous nature in helping others came from his mother, Edith.
As the quiet one in the Jones family, he avoided the limelight and any publicity in the good deeds he did for others. Bryan will always be remembered for his warm and friendly personality right up to his passing at th early age of 65.

We met Bryan & Sandy in 1976 when we were warmly welcomed into the home of Joe and Ada Hatton as Aussie friends of Sue. Over the next 18 months of our stay in London, we travelled up to Coventry several times to enjoy their company. Bryan was always around and enjoyed a quiet beer with the brash Aussies and our lasting memories are of a thoroughly nice bloke with a quiet smile and a warm welcome. You will always be missed - Rest in Peace.
